Research Interest:
Industrial Biotechnology Laboratory aims to develop sustainable, and cost-effective bioprocesses for the production of various commercially important bioproducts by employing the strategies of bioprocess and classical fermentation technology. Currently, we have been focusing on microbial conversion of industrial byproducts/wastes such as crude glycerol and agro-residues into valuable biofuels (biobutanol and biohydrogen), chemicals (propanediol, butanediol and succinic acid) as well as industrially important enzymes (laccase, Mn-peroxidase and ligninase).
